Instead of serving lasagna the usual way, remove the pasta, and use cabbages instead! This interesting recipe might look unusual for those who haven’t tried it yet, but this is surprisingly delicious. Learn how to make this through this video tutorial by Anna’s Kitchen on YouTube.
Step 1
Fill a large pot with water, then bring it to a boil, and start removing the outer leaves of the cabbage while waiting. Wash the cabbage well, then cut it into quarters removing the core from each section. Add the cabbages to the boiling water, then let them cook for about 25 minutes or until very tender, and drain off all the water. In a medium or large saucepan, cook the ground beef until nice and brown, then drain off the rendered grease, and add the pasta sauce. Mix them together and let cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes or until the sauce has reduced and thickened, then season them with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2
Once the cabbages are drained and have cooled down, pat them dry using paper towels, and cut into larger pieces or lengthwise thickly to resemble the shape of lasagna. Mix together the egg, cheeses, and yogurt or cottage cheese in a mixing bowl until uniform and well combined, then set it aside. Grease a rectangular baking dish with non-stick spray, then layer half of the cabbage at the bottom, then top with half of the meat sauce, and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers and use the remaining portion of cabbage, meat sauce, and cheese mixture, then sprinkle the reserved mozzarella cheese all over the top, and bake it in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 15 to 20 minutes until nice and bubbly. Let it cool down for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
