If you want to have some magical glowing decor but don’t want to pay a lot for it, then try this DIY project by Ramo on YouTube! Using just a few materials that you may find at the nearest dollar store and random stuff that you can grab from your garden, you can have these glowing faux mushrooms in a mason jar or glass.
Step 1
Divide the polymer clay into smaller pieces and roll them into a ball to about 1 inch in size. Then, take a piece of polymer ball and cut it in half, then shape it carefully into a mushroom by pushing the flat bottom upward and inward, then the outer top curved downward. You can make the head shape wider and of various sizes. Next, grab a smaller polymer clay and roll it until it lengthens into a tube. Insert a skewer through the tube, then shape and smoothen it into a mushroom stem, gently remove it from the stick, then cut and create a slit on one side of the tube.

Step 2
Brush the mushroom heads with chalk paint lightly at the center, then bake your polymer clay mushrooms. In general, you can bake polymer clay at 275°F for about 30 minutes per ¼ inch of thickness. But it is recommended to always refer to the package instructions for brand-specific directions. When you’re done baking the clays, insert the led light onto the tubes, then attach the head to those tube stems with hot glue, fold the led light’s wire and insert it into the next tubes, do this until you’re done assembling all mushrooms. Grab a piece of wood that you may find in your garden or anything you have available, then attach the mushrooms with hot glue to random places. Carefully, insert the piece inside a large mason jar or glass, then hide the glue with pieces of grass.
