Heads up steak lovers, another easy and hearty meal is coming your way! This recipe is what I always love serving my family or friends because it was easy to prepare and uses few ingredients. I was really glad when I saw Ray Mack’s Kitchen and Grill’s version on YouTube, it was really simple but so delicious! I was excited to share this because I know that some of you are sometimes really busy and want to eat something easy to prepare, so here it is.
Beef Dredge
Gravy Thickener
Step 1
Place your beef cube steaks on a plate or tray then sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley to taste. Make sure that both sides are coated well. Dredge it on all-purpose flour, shake excess flour then set aside. Oil your cast iron skillet and place on medium-high heat, sear the beef and brown both sides, remove from the skillet once it’s done browning.

Step 2
Remove all the grease from the skillet then sauté the sliced onions for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add water and beef flavoring then mix, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley to taste. Stir and let simmer until the gravy thickens. Make the gravy thickener by mixing flour and water until well-combined. Pour it onto the gravy mixture gradually while consistently stirring.
Step 3
When there are no lumps left on the gravy you can start adding the meat. Cover the skillet and let the meat cook for about 25 to 35 minutes. Stir frequently and add water if you want to loosen the gravy. Serve with rice and peas.
