Directions:
Gather all your ingredients and segregate your fruits into different bowls. Peel off the skins of the fruits that need to be peeled and thoroughly clean your fruits and veggies.
Note: the ingredients given are just examples. You can choose to make a one-fruit Christmas tree or a variety of fruit trees. Just make sure to choose almost ripe fruits and fruits that do not smell, get brown, or rot in a short period of time. The ingredients given are an example of good fruits to use.
For bigger-sized fruits like melon, use different shaped cookie cutters to make it look more fun. Just mix, match, and enjoy. Don’t forget the star! If you don’t have cookie cutters, you can use a knife to make freehand shapes.
For the tree’s foundation, Cut the cabbage in half and lay one half’s flat end on the chopping board. Take your large carrot and place it on top of the cabbage. Then, carefully carve out its measurements. Securely stick your carrot in the cabbage hole.
It’s time for the fun part! With each wooden stick, stick each fruit or fruit slice on the cabbage and carrot. Make sure to mix and match them to your liking! Remember, there is no right or wrong way to do this. There’s only one way. So, have fun!
To add a little fun, carve out flower shapes with your strawberries or other fruits to serve as tree ornaments together with your cookie cutter-shaped fruits. Make sure to securely attach the fruits to the wooden sticks and fill them in so no cabbage or carrot shows off. Add the star to the top of your tree.
Lastly, gently transfer it to a platter with the garnish on it.
