How to Make Baileys Irish Cream at Home

Baileys is one of my favorite drinks and I love every twist you can do with it. Whenever I bond with my friends, it is what we would always drink, I remember our reaction when we first tasted the Irish Cream Liqueur, you can say we were pretty hyped about it. Imagine the taste of chocolate with a hint of coffee, then a kick of whiskey, isn’t that enough to pique someone’s curiosity already? This Christmas, my friends decided that they would come over and visit for a mini-reunion and I decided to try and recreate our favorite drink just to go back to the old days because it has also been a few years since we’ve tasted this drink together. Lucky enough for me, it wasn’t that hard to look for tutorials as there are a lot of videos and articles alike available online, but I got drawn to a specific tutorial that I found on YouTube which is by cuoredicioccolato. What I love about his tutorial are its simplicity and clarity, it didn’t show any unnecessary steps or ingredients, it only used what is needed. Well, I’ve always loved anything traditional and classic anyway, so I guess that could be one of the reasons why.
Ingredients:
- 10.14 fl oz Whiskey
- ½ Cups Cream
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1 tsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp Coffee

Directions:
First, mix the dry ingredients (sugar and cocoa powder) in a bowl, then transfer it onto a pot. Add the coffee and cream, then turn the heat on low, let the sugar completely melt while stirring gently. Once it’s ready, remove it from the heat and let it cool completely for about 60 minutes. Pour the whiskey and mix it well, transfer it onto a bottle, and store or give it as a gift to your friends.
