When I found this awesome crocheted dish scrubby video tutorial by Angi Vale, on YouTube, I had to make a few of these useful items. I had been looking all over the internet and in stores for a decent, effective, and attractive dish scrubby. It has always been a weird phenomenon to me that inside all of the big grocery stores and big-box stores, the selection of dish scrubbies is so small! Why do people have to use those horrid yellow and green sponges that smell awful after a couple of uses, that do not hold soap, and do not clean well at all? Not to mention, the sponges are just plain ugly. Sometimes I think they may be pre-treated with mold spores, because why do the yellow and green sponges stink so quickly. I finally found a sponge at a natural grocery store that was perfect, they were all beautiful colors and were made with a very effective, yet soft scrubby material, and had a light sponge sandwiched in the middle. The last ones I bought lasted for over a year, so I went back to get another one, and they had been discontinued, dang! So the only answer to my problem was to make my own. This awesome tutorial uses Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle yarn that can be found at most fabric stores or bought online.
