If you’re looking for a unique a fun quilt, try making this 9-patch swap quilt from Missouri Star on Youtube. This quilt may look complex at first but, it’s super easy to make and totally beginner-friendly. I made this the other week, and it’s been my favorite since then – the pattern is just uniquely fascinating. So if you love fun and easy quilt, you have to give this quilt pattern a try! To start, make a 9-patch block. Take five of your colored squares and lay them out with one in the center, then add the white squares in the spaces. Sew these together to create a 9-patch. Press it afterward. Now, take a ruler and measure 2 1/2 inches on the two long sides of the 9-patch, then cut it. After this, measure 2 1/2 inches again on the two short sides of the block, then cut it. Set the block aside. Repeat these steps with another 9-patch. Once you got your blocks all cut, start laying them out.

First, lay the middle part, put the long strips on both sides, then the long strips on top and bottom. Sew the short strips first, then match up the seams for the long strips. Press the block afterward, then trim the sides off. Repeat these steps to make more blocks. Once you have enough blocks for your desired quilt size, start laying the quilt top. Lay four blocks to form a row, then five rows down. Sew them together, attach the borders, and your quilt is now finished.
