If you’re looking for ways to get rid of rust in some of your items, you’re in the right place. The following tips from BRIGHT SIDE on Youtube will surely help you in your dilemma. These tips all work well, but I have to admit, the number one tip blew my mind. Share these tips with your loved ones and make their day! Watch the video below to learn the following.
#1 Coca Cola
Soak the item in Coca-Cola and leave it for twenty-four hours.
#2 Potato
Scrub a halved potato to the rusted area with a bit of salt, baking powder, or dishwashing liquid.
#3 Baking Soda
Add the baking soda to a container with the rusted object, then add water until thick paste forms. Leave it for two hours.
#4 Citric Acid
Soak the object in clean water, then sprinkle citric acid on top and gently stir it. Small bubbles should form after a few minutes. If you don’t see them, add more citric acid. Let them soak for three to four hours.

#5 Tamarind Water
Put the tamarind peas in a pot filled with water together with the object and bring it to a boil. Once the water is cool enough, dip a piece of cloth into the water and use it to scrub the rusted areas.
#6 Lemon
For a natural approach, use lemon. Simply rub some coarse salt on the rusted areas of the object, then pour some lemon juice. Soak it for no more than two hours.
#7 White Vinegar
Soak the object in white vinegar for at least ten minutes. Depending on the rust buildup, this could take a few minutes or up to a day.
#8 Scrub Away
Soak the object with rust on clean water and scrub the rust away with sandpaper. If you don’t have sandpaper, you can also use steel wool or a wire brush.
