Did you know that it’s super easy to make homemade whipped cream? Yes, it is. It will only take 5 minutes, and it’s ready. You will need 3 simple ingredients – heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. When you try this recipe at home, make sure to use cold heavy cream and a chilled bowl, as it will make the process easier and faster.

Easy Whipped Cream Ingredients

  • 1  1/2 cups of heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

How to Make Whipped Cream

Step 1:

Place a medium metal bowl in your freezer for at least 10 minutes to let it chill.

Step 2:

After 10 minutes, remove the bowl from the freezer. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold heavy cream, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Step 3:

Beat all the ingredients together on low speed using an electric mixer. Gradually increase the speed to high until stiff peaks form. Make sure not to over beat it. It’s ready once it has a  thick, pillowy consistency just like Cool Whip.

Step 4:

Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe on top your crepe, ice cream, cupcake, cake, or dessert. If you are not going to use it immediately, place the whipped cream in an airtight container and refrigerate.
