Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of warm water
  • 1 tbsp dry or instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour

Directions:

Step 1

In a bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of warm water and 1 tsp dry (or instant) yeast. Mix thoroughly with a whisk, then add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Continue to mix until thoroughly combined. Next, add 4 cups of all-purpose flour. Fold it using a spatula until dough forms and no flour streaks remain. After this, cover the bowl with a cloth and leave the dough at room temperature for one hour. After an hour, transfer the dough to a floured surface and fold it thrice, then divide it into eight equal portions.

Step 2

Flour each dough piece and form them into balls, then place them in a parchment paper-lined baking tray. (Flour the parchment paper before placing the dough balls.) Next, spray some water on the buns, then let the dough buns rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, cut a slit across the top of each bun. Place the buns in a 375 degrees F oven and bake them for 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
