You only need 4 simple ingredients for this recipe – mint Oreos, cream cheese, white almond bark, and food coloring. The candy hearts on top is optional, but it definitely makes the truffles look better. It’s the perfect Christmas treat to make while watching the Grinch on the TV. They are so delicious and addicting. I am sure they will be gone in just a few minutes.

 

Easy Grinch Mint Truffles Ingredients

  • 1.2 pounds of packaged mint Oreos
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1.5-pound package of white almond bark
  • green gel food coloring
  • candy hearts (optional)

How to Make Grinch Mint Truffles

Step 1:

Add the Oreo cookies to a food processor and crush them until crumbly. Make sure there are no large chunks. Transfer to a mixing bowl, then add the room-temperature cream cheese. Mix until well combined.

Step 2:

Scoop out the mixture and roll into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then freeze until firm.

Step 3:

Once they are firm, place the white almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl, and melt in the microwave. Mix in a few drops of green gel food coloring at a time until desired color is achieved. If the almond bark is too thick, add one or two teaspoons of vegetable or canola oil to thin it out.

Step 4:

Remove a few truffles at a time from your freezer and coat with the green almond coating, then place in a mini muffin liner. Decorate with a red heart candy on top of each piece. Repeat with the remaining pieces. Once done, place in the refrigerator to firm them up.
