Don’t you love waking up early? I am a morning person, and I absolutely enjoy making a delicious breakfast for myself before I start my day. I usually go for simple recipes, nothing complicated. Yesterday, I tried this 4-ingredient easy breakfast recipe by Home kitchen with Danny, and it turned out fantastic! This is now my favorite snack. If you are tired of your usual ham and cheese sandwich, try this one – the texture and taste are incredible. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

Lay your puff pastry on a flat surface. Add a slice of cheese in the middle just below the edge on the top, followed by a slice of ham. Repeat the layers of ham and cheese until you reach the bottom.
Using a pastry cutter, cut diagonal lines on the sides half an inch apart. Then cut on the top and bottom.
Fold the top and bottom, then crisscross the diagonal strips in the center to cover the ham and cheese. Alternate from left to right.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking dish, then add the pastry.
Crack one egg in a small bowl and beat well. Brush it on top of the pastry. This will give the golden brown color and shiny finish.
Place it inside the oven and bake at 428 Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes until golden brown on top and the cheese has melted.
Transfer it to a plate, slice it in half, and serve. Enjoy while warm!
