If you are craving sweets, dump cakes are the way to go. I am a big fan of dump cakes. I make them all the time, and they always turn out delicious. Who doesn’t love dump cakes, right? They are easy to prepare, flavorful, and ready in just a few minutes. You don’t even have to do any mixing! All the ingredients just go straight into your dish; that is why it is called ‘dump’ cake because you dump all the ingredients in.

To make Kelsey Smith‘s cherry dump cake, you only need 3 ingredients–cherry pie filling, yellow cake mix, and salted butter. Basically, you spread the cherry pie filling, sprinkle the yellow cake mix over it, top it with butter slices, and bake in your oven. That’s how easy it is. You can also add pineapples for some added flavor. Serve it with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Step 4:

Place inside the oven and bake at 350F for about 50 to 60 minutes. At the 50-minute mark, keep an eye on the cake, as you don’t want it to burn. The top should be golden brown.

Step 5:

Once done baking, let it cool for about 10 to 15 minutes on your counter, as the filling can be very hot.  Serve on a plate and top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also drizzle chocolate sauce or any sauce you like on top. Enjoy!
