You can eat the doughnuts right after frying, but if you want them to taste better, you can coat them in a cinnamon sugar mixture, glaze them with chocolate or plain vanilla icing, or fill them with jam. Let Camirra’s Kitchen teach you how to make them with the canned biscuit donut recipe below.

Cinnamon sugar
Open the canned biscuit and separate each biscuit.
Using a cookie cutter, cut a hole in the center of each biscuit. Use the centers to make donut holes. Alternatively, you can use an apple corer. If you don’t want the normal doughnut shape, lightly stretch out your biscuit, then cut it into three strips. Intertwine the two strips, then pair the remaining with another strip from another biscuit so you get three pieces.
You can also cut them into four pieces.
Make the icing. For the vanilla icing, just mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until you get the perfect consistency for the glaze.
For the cinnamon sugar mixture, just mix the two ingredients in a bowl.
Heat a generous amount of oil in a stainless steel pot over medium heat. The oil is ready when you stick a chopstick in it and it immediately starts to bubble. That is about 350F. Gently drop the donut into the hot oil. Cook until browned on all sides. Continuously move them for even cooking. Place in a wire rack over a baking sheet. Immediately coat with the cinnamon sugar or glaze.
You can also pipe jelly inside the doughnuts.
