This terrarium goes for $300 online and it costs under $10 to make!  She bought the supplies at the Dollar Store! I can’t believe she made this beautiful terrarium out of cheap picture frames!  I’m amazed!  It has a vintage antique look and the greenery against the white frames really sets the plants off!

I just had to make one of these for myself and it turned out great.  I always wanted a window box over my kitchen sink, but with this terrarium I can have a close second and I really enjoy it where I have it.  I put several small plants in mine and it’s just like having a window box, but you get to move this one where ever you want it displayed!

Materials:

  • 4-8×10’s and 4-4×6 picture frames
  • Epoxy
  • Super glue
  • Glue gun
  • Masking tape
  • Scissors
  • Paint (she uses Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint)
  • Dark Wax (you can use brown paint)

What this step by step tutorial and you can have your very own terrarium!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
