So many times I take food to family get togethers and I’m always looking for the perfect box to fit my casserole bowls, so they don’t spill in my car, but then I worry about it staying warm, so I cover it up with kitchen towels and hope that does the trick.

A couple of months ago my boyfriend and I went out for a gathering with his work. His boss brought an awesome peanut butter pie that was toted in an awesome pie carrier. I decided to make one myself after seeing hers since it’s such a nifty tote to have! It can can be hard to carry your pie to a potluck. This makes a great holiday gift, especially when there’s a pie that comes with it!

I’ve made several of these as gifts this year!  You will not believe how easy they are to make and with cute fabrics, the personalization is endless.  These carriers will carry just about any size dish you can find from a pie to an 11 by 14in container!  They are reversible, cute and quick! Make one for yourself and a friend for a great housewarming gift.

The whole thing is basically a square with some loops and a handle, you just thread the loops through the handle and go!
