This is such a fun and easy DIY project and you can use any color of bandana that you like to make it your own. The great thing about bandanas is that they’re cheap and you can pick them up at your local craft store.

When I made my bandana wreath I chose a smaller, 10” wreath form so that I could make a patriotic wreath fairly quickly. I like that it took just an hour or so to make, but if you have more time, you can always make it bigger. I also used one of my favorite materials for making patriotic crafts—red, white and blue bandanas.

In looking on Pinterest I saw a pink bandana wreath (with a couple of different shades of pink bandanas) and was reminded that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is a great opportunity for everyone to get informed about not only the disease itself but also about the necessary steps to take in order to keep yourself healthy.

Making a breast cancer awareness wreath is a wonderful, thoughtful present to give to someone who has fought it or who has a friend or a family member that is dealing with it. Such a wreath can also be displayed in honor of those who we might have lost because of breast cancer.

Some people mix in some burlap strips when they make these bandana wreaths and that gives them a more rustic look, so you may want to add some burlap to your wreath.
