Instructions:
Step 1:
Fill 1 cup with all-purpose flour by spooning it and leveling it with a knife. Place a mesh sieve on top of your mixing bowl and add the flour, 1/3 cup of Dutch cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Sift the ingredients and set aside for later.
Step 2:
In a different bowl, add 1/3 cup of unsalted melted butter, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup of golden brown sugar. Whisk until well combined.
Step 3:
Add one large egg, one large egg yolk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix until very smooth.
Step 4:
Add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix gently with a spatula.
Step 5:
Reserve about 1/4 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and put the remaining into the mixture. Mix into the dough.
Step 6:
Scoop out heaping mounds of the chocolate cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet. Space them at least 2 inches apart.
Step 7:
Top each cookie with a few of the reserved chocolate chips. Place inside the oven and bake at 350F for 9 minutes. Once done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
