If you’re on a special diet or simply want a new bread recipe to try, then you better check out these honey butter glazed buns by Savor Easy on YouTube! Wheat is a great source of protein, but what I love the most about this bread is that it is super soft and remains soft even for days if stored correctly.
Dough
Honey butter glaze
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, add the milk, honey, egg, and yeast, then mix them all together until well combined, add the whole wheat flour and salt, and give them a good mix until a dough is formed. Cover the bowl, then set the dough aside, and let it rest for about 20 minutes. Add the butter, then mix it into the dough until fully absorbed and incorporated. Transfer to a lightly floured counter, then knead, slap, and fold until it becomes smooth, this may take about 8 to 10 minutes. Smooth out the dough, then transfer it to an oiled bowl, and cover for about 45 to 60 minutes or until it has doubled in size. After about 45 to 60 minutes, grab the dough, then lightly punch it to release the gas, and reshape.

Step 2
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces that are about 70 grams or 2.46 ounces each, then place them on a baking sheet, cover, and let it rest for about 15 minutes before flattening and reshaping each dough ball. Cover them again, then let them rest for another 25 to 30 minutes until they double in size, and preheat your oven to 180°C or 350°F. Brush each dough with milk before putting them inside the preheated oven, then let them bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. While waiting for the bread to bake, prepare the honey butter glaze, simply mix together the softened butter and honey in a mixing bowl, then brush it on top of the hot buns, serve, and enjoy!
