I really don’t like using commercial air fresheners for many reasons, one of the main reasons is the fact that I really think they smell too strong and artificial. With this method of putting different fragrances on cotton balls, I really have found one of the most affordable and easy ways to scent my living space. In this wonderful video, Andrea Jean describes many ordinary things that can be used to make your home or old spaces like fridges, cabinets, and drawers smell really wonderful. Vanilla extract is a great option to use because it contains alcohol which also kills bacterial buildup on a multitude of surfaces.

Materials And Ingredients For Making DIY Air Freshener:

  • Cotton Balls
  • Essential Oils (lemon and lavender are great)
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • A spray bottle
