Pies, in any form, are delicious and heartwarming. They are the kind of desserts that will always bring comfort whenever served. This bread apple pie recipe from delicious day on Youtube is unlike any other pies you have tasted. It’s comforting, delicious, and most of all – easy to pull off. I’m sure there are other pie recipes out there, but this recipe will surely give you another pie experience. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices of bread
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the apple into small pieces. In a pan, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add the chopped apple to the pan, then stir. Next, add 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp honey. Fry them over medium heat. (Stir until the liquid is gone.) Add 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder (optional) and continue to stir them. After this, get a piece of sliced bread, cut the crust part, then flatten it using a rolling pin. In a small bowl, whisk 1 egg. Brush the whisked egg on the flattened bread. Next, add 1 tbsp of the apple mixture to one side of the bread. After this, cut 1 cm away from the half-fold position. (5 cuts should be enough.) Fold the bread in half, then press the open edges using a fork. Cut off the edges just a little to make it more presentable.

Step 2

After you make other apple pies, place them in a baking tray lined with a baking sheet. Brush the top part with some whisked egg. Place them in the oven at 375 degrees F for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes, pull them out of the oven and transfer them to a plate.
