Are you sure you are putting your trash bag the right way? Get a trash bag and look at the seam. You will notice that the seam is on the outside and the smooth part inside. That means the smooth side should be the outside. Do you need to flip it out on the right side before using it? No, you don’t. Most of us are probably too lazy to do that as it will just add another step in putting the bag in the trash can. But do not worry, you don’t have to do that!

I always put the trash bag inside the garbage can with the seams on the outside like everybody else. The Right Way To Use a Trash Bag

Step 1:

Take your trash bag and open your garbage can.

Step 2:

Open the trash bag and hold it on the sides. Insert it on top of your trash can with the edges in place.

Step 3:

Take the rest of the trash bag and push it straight down. Close the trash can and you are done.
