Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

Directions:

Step 1

Heat a large pan over medium heat, then melt 1/2 cup butter. Once melted, add 2 cups of rice and cook for four to six minutes, stirring continuously. After this, add the chopped onions and the minced garlic and cook for another two to three minutes. Now, add 1 tbsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp dried parsley, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, and 1/2 cup soy sauce. Stir everything until well combined.

Step 2

Next, slowly pour 4 cups chicken broth, stir, then bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, then cover the pan with its lid. Let it simmer for 22 to 25 minutes or until the liquid is almost absorbed. Once done, turn off the heat and let the rice sit for five minutes. After five minutes, fluff the rice and garnish with some freshly chopped parsley.
