With the tube trick, you can easily make this tea time quilt by Jordan Fabrics! It is one of the simplest projects I have ever made, and I sure did have fun with the whole process. The 3D effect definitely makes it eye-catching. Watch the video below for full instructions.

Get 5 strips and sew them together with a 1/4″ seam allowance to make a unit measuring 10 1/2″. Repeat 7 more times to make a total of 8.
Fold the strip unit in half lengthwise, right sides together, and sew with a 1/4″ seam allowance to create a tube.
Use the tube ruler
For tubes 1,2,3,4 – place “7” line on the seam line about 1″ from the selvage edge and cut the first triangle. Set it into stack one. Flip the ruler to the folded edge. Place the “7” line onto the fold and cut the triangle. Set it into stack two. Repeat the process to have 7 triangles per tube.
For tubes 5,6,7,8 – place “7” line onto the fold and cut the first triangle. Flip your ruler and continue to cut the triangles. Place them into the appropriate stack.
Cut a total of 28 pieces of 7″ squares for each stack.
Randomly sew two squares together. It should form like an arrow pointing up. Make a total of 29 sets. Next, sew two sets together to make 14 new sets. Sew two of the new sets to make seven columns. After that, sew the columns together.
Cut the first border fabric into six pieces of 1 1/2″ strips. Sew them together at the 1 1/2″ edge to make a continuous strip. Next, sew the border all around.
Make the second border. Cut the fabric into 3 pieces of 4 1/2″ x 44″ strips, then open the balance and fold it lengthwise. Next, cut two pieces at 4 1/2″ wide by 65″. Cut four strips at 2″ for the binding. Stitch the border all around.
Quilt and add 2″ binding.
