Ingredients:
- 5 granny smith apples (use the ones that are a bit underripe)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of semolina flour
- 1 cup of flour
- 1.5 tablespoons of baking powder
- 1/8 cup of butter
- 1 glass of hot milk
- powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 356 degrees F and line a round baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2:
in a medium bowl, add 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of semolina flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1.5 tablespoons of baking powder. Mix all dry ingredients well.
Step 3:
Divide the dry mixture into 4 equal amounts.

Step 4:
Grate 5 apples into a bowl. Once done, divide them into 3 parts.
Step 5:
Put one of the divided dry mixtures into the round baking pan and spread using a spoon. Next, add one part of grated apples on top of the dry mixture. Spread them evenly. Continue the same process with the remaining grated apples and dry mixture.
Step 6:
Once you are done, poke a lot of holes in the cake using a stick.
Step 7:
Pour the hot milk into a small bowl then add 1/8 cup of butter. Mix them until the butter melts.
Step 8:
Pour the milk mixture into the cake and let it sit for a while.
Step 9:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes at 356 degrees F.
Step 10:
Once done baking, let it cool then remove it from the pan. Transfer the apple pie cake to a plate then sift some powdered sugar on top.
