If you’re anything like me, I need to get rid of a few t-shirts…no, actually a lot of t-shirts! I have so many t-shirts I could open a t-shirt shop! It’s ridiculous, yet I kept hanging onto them. I’m glad I did because now I have the perfect way to recycle them!

After learning that I could make yarn out of t-shirts and actually make some great things out of it, I jumped all in and started cutting t-shirts the way Laura, in the tutorial attached below, does it. She makes everything look so easy. You would think that cutting up t-shirts wouldn’t need instructions, but, believe me, there’s actually an art to it!

I have loved learning to crochet with t-shirt yarn. The best thing about t-shirt yarn is that you can make it yourself really easily out of t-shirts. You can also cut up t-shirt sheets if you find that you don’t have enough t-shirts!

There are loads of tutorials available online. Look on Pinterest, there’s tons of great information regarding how to crochet with t-shirt yarn and making rugs out of this is so cool looking! The sky’s the limit on what you can make out of your t-shirt yarn that you make.
Look on Pinterest at all of the great things you can make with this. You can even crochet t-shirt yarn baskets and they are wonderful! I saw the coolest looking purse, wreaths, necklaces, pillows and the list goes on.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
