Supplies You Need For This Project
✨ Most people grab these five items
Liquitex Paint
People often ask what kind of paint we used for the egg carton daisies. We actually use Liquitex! It is very vibrant, comes in a wide variety of colors, and is very easy to apply.

Floral Wire
We get asked a lot what gauge of floral wire is best for our egg carton flowers. A 14-gauge wire does the job perfectly. It is sturdy enough to support the flowers and stand straight, but still bendable.

Craft Sticks
There are different sizes of craft sticks, but for this flower project, the jumbo ones work best. They can easily be cut with large scissors and painted in a variety of colors!

Green Moss
To cover the styro foam, we used green moss. It adds a nice detail to the flowers and a pop of color as well.

Paint Brushes
Painting these egg carton flowers is so much easier if you have the right set of paint brushes!

These products are all listed on our DIY JOY Amazon store, so you can order and know exactly what you will get, and when. We do earn a small commission on these links and very much appreciate your support ❤️
Quick Steps
- Petals: Cut 2 egg cups. Snip 8 petals into each, round the tips, and paint white. Nature isn’t perfect, so don’t stress symmetry!
- Sepals: Cut a smaller cup into 8 pointed tips and paint green.
- Center: Cut slits in a cardboard rectangle, roll it into a circle, and paint yellow.
- Assembly: Thread the yellow center, both white petal layers, and the green sepal onto a floral wire.
- Final Step: Attach green leaves to the wire stem to finish.
