Recently I found this awesome strawberry jello cake video recipe tutorial by Collard Valley Cooks, on YouTube, and it reminded me of these cakes from the Seventies that were so delicious. I wanted to make this cake immediately because I had friends coming over and I knew they would love this recipe. This jello cake is not hard to make at all because you use a box cake mix, which makes this recipe really quick and hassle-free. You can use fresh strawberries but you will want to microwave them for a few seconds till mushy.

Ingredients For Strawberry Jello Cake:

Recipe For The Cake:

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 3 ounces of strawberry gelatin
  • 3/4 cups of oil
  • 1/2 cup o water
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 heaping cups of strawberries

Recipe For The Icing:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cups strawberries (strain well)
