This strawberry banana pudding recipe by Adri’s Creations by Adrianna Marie on YouTube shows how to make a classic banana pudding but adding strawberries. I love how the strawberries add a nice pop of color to the dessert. Honestly, if banana pudding had strawberries normally, I would eat it more often. I’m not a big bananas fan, but the strawberries would add a nice texture to the pudding. Also, I appreciate this recipe because it’s made from scratch which is hard to come across. A lot of recipes include banana pudding mix from the box but this is a great way to customize the sweetness and taste.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cans of evaporated milk
  • 12 egg yolks
  • 12 tablespoons of flour
  • 4 cups of sugar
  • 1-16 ounce whipped topping
  • 5 boxes of vanilla wafers
  • 5 bananas
  • 1 to 2 pounds of strawberries
  • 1 to 3 tsp of vanilla extract/flavoring
  • 1 to 3 tsp of banana extract/flavoring

Directions:

First, in a large bowl, mix flour and sugar together. Set aside. Then, in a large pot, pour in egg yolks, then evaporated milk, and mix well. Add the flavorings and sticks of butter. Next, once all of the components of the banana pudding are finished, assemble. Layer the cookies at the bottom of the pan and around the rim. Add a layer of banana, then strawberries, whipped cream, pudding, and lastly cookies. Repeat until done. Chill before serving.

Overall, I need to give this a try because I love strawberries and bananas together. It’s a great way to turn a traditional southern dessert into a modern twang. I can’t wait to make this sometime and impress those that love banana pudding.
