Materials:

  • balloon
  • stones
  • marker
  • jar lid
  • hot glue gun
  • indoor plant

Directions:

Step 1

Inflate the balloon, then trace a medium jar lid at the top where the knot is. Next, wash your stones thoroughly and pat them dry completely. Place the balloon on top of a duct tape roll to keep it in place, marked side down. Begin gluing two stones together at their side using hot glue, then place them on the balloon. Continue this, adding hot glue just on the side, attaching one stone at a time. As you go by, the stones will take the shape of the balloon; continue it until you cover the whole balloon with stones (don’t put stones inside the marked area at the bottom).

Step 2

Once you formed a bowl and you’re satisfied with the height, go ahead and pop the balloon. Make sure to let the hot glue dry well, then you can put your indoor plant inside. Your DIY stone flower pot is now finished! Place it anywhere in your home to freshen up the space.
