This recipe by Cooking With Claudia on YouTube is one of my all-time favorite dishes! I gave it a try and thought that I would fail at first, but I’m so glad that it turned out to taste fantastic. Now, I frequently make this whenever I want, even my family loves it so much that they constantly request that I make this dish often.

Ingredients:

Beef marinade

  • 1 pound of beef
  • 2 tbsp of rice wine
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp of freshly chopped parsley
  • 3 tbsp of corn starch
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Broccoli mixture

  • 2 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp of minced ginger
  • ½ cup of beef broth
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 12 ounces of broccoli florets
  • 3 packs of ramen noodles, cooked (discard the seasoning that comes with it)
  • ¼ cup of chopped spring onions

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the beef into thin slices, and transfer them to a medium or large mixing bowl, then add the rice wine, garlic paste, honey, soy sauce, chopped parsley, cornstarch, and season with salt and pepper to taste, add olive oil. Toss them together until well combined and the seasonings are evenly incorporated. Cover the bowl, then put it in the fridge, and leave it to marinate for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours, drain off the excess marinade, then fry them in very hot oil over high heat until it starts to caramelize. Remove the beef and set them aside.

Step 2

Using the same pan, add the sesame oil, then sautee the minced garlic and ginger over medium heat. Stir and cook them for about 2 minutes or until nice and fragrant. Pour the beef broth, then add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Stir them until well combined, then add the broccoli, and give it a good mix. Cover the pan and let it cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes before adding the cooked noodles, do not overcook. Put the cooked beef back into the pan, then add some chopped scallions, and mix them together well. Cook them for another 3 minutes, then serve, and enjoy!
