Materials:

  • acrylic paint (dark blue, sky blue, white, yellow, green)
  • stone
  • different kinds of paintbrushes

Directions:

Step 1

In a stone, place the acrylic paint (from the top: dark blue, sky blue, white, yellow, and green) in parallel order. Start spreading the sky blue and white paint across with a paintbrush. Next, spread the blue paint across the top. This will create a gradient effect between the first three colors. Continue spreading the paint, making sure that you are painting the stone nicely. After this, start spreading the green paint on the bottom nicely followed by the yellow paint. Smudge the two colors slightly creating a grassland image. Get another brush and start defining the center of the lake scenery by painting a mountain range. Next, get some white color and paint some clouds by dabbing the brush lightly onto the stone.

Step 2

After this, paint the lake in the center of the grassland, make sure that you paint a light blue first then a darker blue going to the bottom. This will create a more realistic lake. Define the edges of the lake by painting a thin line of dark green. Using a fan brush, dab some yellow paint on the grassland, then dab some black paint on each end of the mountain range to create some depth. Next, define the mountain range by dabbing more dark green color. After this, using a thin brush, dot some white with a bit of red paint on the bottom of the lake scenery going up. Finally, draw some grass with a single stroke using a thin brush.
