Most local Starbucks have discontinued this yummy treat – the reason why it is no longer available in stores. But do not fret, as you can easily make them at home. It’s not as difficult as you think. I already made these at home several times, and it’s always a crowd favorite. Everyone of all ages loves munching on these bars, especially kids. If you try this recipe at home, expect that people will ask for another one. It’s that good!

For the oat bar:
For the fudge:
Start by creaming the butter and brown sugar together. Next, add the eggs and vanilla.
In a different bowl, whisk the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt together.
Mix in the dry ingredients to the batter in three batches, scraping the sides in between additions.
Once mixed, add 2/3 of the mixture to a 8 x 8 baking dish. Spread in an even layer.
Place a pot over medium high heat, then add the butter, sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
Remove the chocolate fudge from the heat and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before stirring in the vanilla.
Pour the fudge over the oats in the baking tray and spread evenly. Once smooth, add the remaining oat mixture in chunks on top of the chocolate.
Bake at 350F for about 25 to 30 minutes.
