Preheat your oven to 375F.
In a large bowl, sift the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
In the bowl of your stand mixer, add the cream, butter, and sugar. Mix with a fitted paddle attachment. Next, add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla while mixing on low speed. Make sure to scrape down the sides.
Add the dry mixture and mix until well combined.
Divide the dough into two then form into two disks. Wrap each with plastic wrap and chill for an hour.
Roll chilled dough to a disk with 1/4″ thickness. Cut a shape using a medium or large cookie cutter, then cut out the window shape inside using the smaller one. Make a small hole at the top of the cookie.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with a non-stick baking liner.
Add hard candies to a ziplock bag, then crush them up. Place them inside the cookies, making sure to distribute them evenly.
Bake the cookies for 12 minutes at 375F. Once done baking, allow them to cook on a baking sheet. Add an ornament hook to each one if you are going to hang them.
