Ingredients:

  • Minced garlic and ginger
  • Fresh parsley, optional
  • ½ cup butter
  • Onion, chopped
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tbsp chili powder
  • ½ tbsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tbsp curry powder
  • Pepper
  • Italian herb
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the garlic powder, chili powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, curry powder, pepper, Italian herb, and soy sauce, then give them a good mix until combined, and set it aside. Preheat a deep pan, then add the butter and let it melt before adding the minced ginger and garlic. Give them a nice stir, then let them cook until slightly brown before squeezing half a lemon over them.

Step 2

Now, add the onion and parsley, stir, then let them simmer and cook. Add the seasoning mixture at this point followed by the water, then give them a good stir, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the sugar and more chili powder and garlic powder if you like. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed, then transfer to a serving bowl, and serve together with your favorite seafood.
