Add water to a pot and season with chicken broth and salt. Cover with the lid and let it boil. Once boiling, add the pasta and stir. Allow it to boil for 7 minutes or until al dente. Remove the pasta from the water and save half a cup of the pasta water.
Put the peeled shrimps into a bowl. Season the shrimps with paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and cajun seasoning. Toss well until fully covered.
Put 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet. Once hot, place the shrimps and cook each side for 1 minute. Make sure to not overcook the shrimp. Once done, remove from the skillet and set aside.
Using the same skillet, put 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and let it melt. Add the yellow onion, minced garlic, tomato paste, and oil into the skillet. Cook for 3 minutes. Add the pepper flakes, cajun seasoning, and lemon juice. Stir well. Add pasta water, spinach, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese into the mixture. Stir again.
Once the cheese is melted put the heat to low. Add the pasta and twirl using a thong. Keep stirring until well combined. Put the shrimp into the pasta and mix again.
