Place a dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add oil, ground beef, and sausage. Break the meat into small pieces as it cooks.
Once the meat begins to brown and is well broken down, add the onion, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pot. Cover with the lid and cook for about 5 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 425F.
After 5 minutes, add the oregano, chili flakes, and tomato paste and cook for a minute or until the tomato paste is well incorporated.
Add the bouillon, crushed tomatoes, water, 1.5 teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of sugar to the beef. Mix and bring it to a simmer.
Add the basil and spaghetti. Gently stir and press down to submerge the noodles in the sauce. Let it simmer for about 60 seconds.
Carefully submerge the noodles again. Put the pot in the oven, and cook for about 16 to 18 minutes uncovered, gently stirring and submerging at 5 to 10 minutes into cooking.
Make a taste test. Adjust seasoning if necessary. Add the grated parmesan and stir well.
Serve on a plate and garnish with more parmesan on top.
