I’m not a big fan of cooking complicated dishes, but I am a fan of fried chicken! Yesterday, while thinking about what I should eat, I was casually browsing my phone hoping to see a tutorial that I could follow. Imagine my delight when I found out that there is an easy way to cook a fried chicken with just 5 ingredients. Immediately I got excited because of its tasty and drool-worthy visual, I went to the nearest grocery store and bought ingredients which is in this case just chicken because pretty much everything I needed is already available in my pantry. Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Chicken wings
  • Cooking oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the chicken wings and deep fry on a pan in medium-low heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Flip the chicken and fry the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes or more if necessary. You can also cover the chicken in a batter for a more crispy texture. Drain the chicken of excess oil.

Step 2

Prepare the sauce by mixing light soy sauce, sugar, and ketchup in a mixing bowl until well-combined. Place the pan on medium-low heat and start melting the butter, stir-fry the minced garlic for about 2 minutes before pouring the soy sauce mixture. Let it simmer for 2 minutes in low heat, add the chicken and stir fry for 2 more minutes.
