This soft and fluffy milk bread by 마미오븐 MOMMY OVEN is on another level. It’s the best baking recipe I have ever tried at home. It’s buttery and moist – perfect to eat on its own or with a spread.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of bread flour
- 9 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/3 teaspoon of dry yeast
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 eggs (divided)
- 4 2/3 tablespoons of water
- 1/2 cup of butter

Instructions:
Step 1:
In a large bowl, combine water, milk, and instant dry yeast. Stir until well combined.
Step 2:
Add sugar, salt, and egg. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
Step 3:
Add the bread flour and mix it lightly with a silicone spatula until it forms a dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and leave it for about 15 minutes.
Step 4:
After 15 minutes, remove the cling wrap and transfer the dough to your workspace. It will be very sticky. Knead the dough until smooth. When the dough becomes a lump, add the butter and continue kneading. It should be very stretchy. Place it inside the bowl again and cover it with plastic wrap. Leave it at a warm place until it doubles in size for about an hour.
Step 5:
Divide the dough into 9 equal pieces. Smoothen each one and form it into a ball. Cover them with plastic wrap and leave them for about 15 minutes.
Step 6:
Flour your workspace and rolling pin. Get one of the balls and flatten it, then roll it. Repeat with the remaining balls.
Step 7:
Grease your mold with melted butter, then add the rolled dough. Make sure to add space in between each one. Cover with plastic wrap, and leave it in a warm place until they get twice as big.
Step 8:
Brush beaten egg on top. Bake at 338F to 356F for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Step 9:
Once done baking, apply melted butter on top.
