Ingredients
- 1 lb of okra (slice into pieces)
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 1 lb of colossal raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 tablespoon of garlic paste or 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup of roughly chopped onions
- all-purpose seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of coarse black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of infused olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons of creole kick
- 2 cups of chicken broth or stock
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
- 3 bay leaves

Instructions
Step 1:
Place a pan over heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Mix and cook until pink for about 2 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 2:
In the same pan, add the onions and cook until translucent. Next, add the sliced okra. Make sure they are in a single layer and spread them out. Place the lid and cook for about 15 minutes. After 7 or 8 minutes, give it a stir.
Step 3:
After 15 minutes, add the tomatoes and season with all-purpose seasoning. Mix until well combined. Next, add the tomato paste and mix again.
Step 4:
Add creole seasoning, garlic paste and the herbs. Mix until well incorporated.
Step 5:
While mixing, slowly pour the chicken broth. Place the lid and cook for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Step 6:
Remove the bay leaf, then add the shrimp. Mix until well coated. Place the lid and let it cook for just 3 minutes.
Step 7:
Serve on top of freshly cooked white rice. Enjoy!
