Materials:

  • Non-stick oven liner
  • Lint roller
  • Magic erasers
  • Ziploc bag
  • Aluminum foil
  • Vinegar
  • Lemon juice

Directions:

1.) How to clean your blender

After emptying out all of the contents of your blender, fill it with some warm water, then add a few drops of your liquid dishwashing soap, and then put the lid back on before you start blending them. This will make cleaning leftover sticky stuff in your blender easier, especially corners and gaps that are hard to reach and clean. After blending, simply pour all the icky stuff on your sink and give your blender a good rinse.

2.) Catch oven drips

Try laying a piece of non-stick oven liner or a baking sheet underneath your oven rack, then let it catch all of the drips from all of your baked or roasted dishes. You’ll find this much better and practical than cleaning your whole oven constantly.

3.) Using a lint roller for dusting

Instead of using a duster or cloth, you’ll find a lint roller quite better and more effective at catching dust and other dirt from your couch, bed, and other furniture or surfaces.

4.) Magic erasers

Instead of grabbing a wet cloth or sponge, you might find using magic erasers to be a quick and effective solution for those wall stains, dirt on the sole of your trainers, and even your countertops. Cut your magic erasers into smaller pieces so that they can last longer.

5.) Maximize your dishwasher

Aside from effectively cleaning your dishes, your dishwashing machine can also clean a variety of other stuff too! It can range from small toys and even your caps.

6.) Cheap showerhead cleaning hack

Grab a Ziploc bag and fill it with vinegar, insert the showerhead in the bag, then tie the bag around it with an elastic band securely. Leave it to soak for a while, then give it a good scrub, and rinse it well.

7.) Cloudy glassware cleaning hack

What makes your glassware look cloudy is usually hardened water. An easy remedy for this would be vinegar! Simply soak your glassware in a tub filled with warm water and vinegar for a few minutes. Wipe it well and you’ll see that your glassware will be sparkling clean again.

8.) How to clean your microwave

Pour warm water into a small microwave-safe bowl, add some vinegar or lemon juice, then put it inside a microwave, and set it on high for a few minutes. The water and vinegar mixture will release steam which will help loosen up the food that got stuck all over your microwave. After the cycle has finished, simply give your microwave a good wipe.

9.) How to properly drain cooking fat

Instead of directly pouring your cooking fat or grease into your sink which could lead to clogging, try using an aluminum foil to catch it instead. Simply line a small bowl with aluminum foil, pour in the grease, let it harden, then crumple the foil before throwing it into the bin.
