Ingredients:

  • 3 lb beef chuck roast
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (not ground)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 chipotle peppers, minced (from a can of chipotle peppers)
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce (sauce from the can of chipotle peppers)
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

Step 1

First, brown both sides of the chuck roast in a large pan with cooking oil, then transfer it to the slow cooker. Add salt, black pepper, oregano, minced garlic, cumin, ground cloves, chipotle peppers, bay leaves, and 1/2 cup of water. Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook for nine hours on low.
