Nothing says, “Let’s Have A Party!” like a vodka cocktail and when you add beautiful, delicious, colorful Skittles candy, you are onto a real winner. I always make different kinds of candy a big part of our backyard parties. You could say it’s become a tradition at our Texas Hill Country Ranch. I have candy bowls literally everywhere, I have them on all of the kitchen surfaces, on the tabletops, in bowls… Wouldn’t you know, just when I thought I was done with candy for my next party I had to see this Skittles Vodka Recipe on Youtube and I nearly fell over when I saw the instructions to make it and it was just so simple to make, I just freaked out, there was nothing holding me back from making this immediately! This recipe was a Skittles candy lover’s dream, the recipe also tells us how to put the Skittle infused vodka into individual decorative bottles to wow your guests. I started by getting some festive bottles from Michaels, this was not expensive and I used my 40% off coupon that they have available daily, just pull it up on a regular search engine next time you are there. Then I partially filled the bottles with Skittles candies and added the magic ingredient: Vodka!
Place your skittles into the individual bottles separating by color Then pour in vodka and let stand for 24 hours, shaking occasionally.
Then strain the contents of your bottles through a coffee filter to rid the liquid of any undissolved Skittles.
This recipe is delicious and really was the hit of the party!
