Turtles are cute creatures that I love, that’s why when I saw this sea turtle felt plush DIY tutorial by Miss Tricks Mix Crafts and DIY, I knew I had to make it. They are super easy to sew and make the best toys for kids or as a souvenir. Learn how to make this by watching the video below.
Materials:
- felt fabric (turquoise, dark yellow, green, and dark green)
- sewing needle
- thread (green, dark green, and turquoise)
- scissors
- toy stuffing
- black plastic safety eyes

Instructions:
Step 1:
Cut a small round shape on the turquoise felt fabric. Next, make the shell of the turtle by cutting small irregular shapes on the dark green felt fabric.
Step 2:
Using a needle with thread, sew each of the irregular shapes of dark green felt fabric to the small round turquoise felt fabric. Once you are done, set it aside.
Step 3:
Cut another small round shape on the dark yellow felt fabric. It must be the same size as the first one. On the green fabric, cut the front and back head of the turtle. Cut 2 small holes in the head and insert the black plastic safety eyes. Once done, sew the front and back head, but make sure to leave an opening.
Step 4:
Fill the head with the stuffing and set it aside. Next, make the tail, front legs, and back legs of the turtle. Make sure you cut one for the front and one for the back. Fill it with stuffing and sew.
Step 5:
Sew the dark yellow round shape to the shell of the turtle, then place the head, legs, and tail as you go. When you’re almost done, fill the turtle with stuffing before closing it. You can use a pen to push the stuffing inside. Sew the opening and you are done.
