This round denim handbag will be the bag of the summer, so you definitely don’t want to skip this tutorial. You don’t have to purchase really ant materials since the bag can be made out of an old pair of blue jeans. Ire Heart Crafting‘s tutorial is great! It will show you exactly how to make the bag easily.
Materials Needed For This Project:
- Old Pair Of Blue Jeans
- Plate
- Marker
- Fusible Fleece
- Seam Ripper
Directions:

Step Two
Use a seam ripper to remove the pockets from your blue jeans. You will later sew these onto the bag.
Step Three
Sew a pocket onto the front piece of your material. Then attach a piece of fusible fleece to the back of your bag by ironing it.
Step Four
Using a piece of lining fabric pin this over the side of the jean circle with the pocket and then sew. Make sure to leave an opening to later flip the fabric right side out.
Step Six
Flip the jean material right side out and then hand stitch the hole together using the “invisible stitch.”
Step Seven
Create your bag straps using scrap fabric pieces. Sew the straps 2 inches from the middle on each side.
Step Eight
To create the base of your bag, repeat the process of attaching your fleece and then lining the fabric.

Step Nine
Hand sew your base pieces to the sides of the bag. You can also attach loops to the side if you want to add a cross-body piece later on.
