Chocolate glaze
Step 1
Chop the chocolate thinly, then put them in a bowl, add hot milk, and whisk together until melted and incorporated. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and set aside, then in another mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar, break the butter apart, and whisk them together for about 3 to 5 minutes or until soft and pale. Gradually add the eggs while consistently whisking together until well combined and smooth, sift over the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then fold them together until well mixed. Give the milk chocolate mixture a light whisk before pouring it into the batter, then fold them together to combine. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and grease or spray with a nonstick spray.

Step 2
Next, pour the cake batter into the prepared pan, and swirl it around with a skewer to remove air bubbles inside and spread them evenly at the same time. Cover the sides and bottom of the pan with aluminum foil, then preheat a baking sheet with water in the oven at 1806C or 356°F before placing the cake in the water, and bake it for about 60 to 90 minutes. If you’re baking it without water, then you should only bake for around 30 to 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted at the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool slightly with unmolding just until warm, then peel the paper off, and wrap it with plastic so it stays moist. Put it in the refrigerator overnight or leave it at room temperature. In a saucepan, melt and whisk together the milk chocolate and butter until incorporated, then pour it all over the loaf cake, and spread it evenly. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
