These are not ordinary Rice Krispies treats, they’re Christmas Tree shape that’s perfect for the holidays. Catherine’s Plates recipe on YouTube shows how you can gather your family and friends to make these Rice Krispies Christmas Trees. Everything about these treats sounds delicious because it has some of my favorite candies all in one. This is such a creative idea to turn a simple treat into a fun holiday treat. It’s a different way to do decorate instead of making gingerbread houses. Plus, they’re so easy to make and the “tree trunk” is a great idea.

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows or (5 1/2 cups)
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 2-3 tbsp green food coloring or gel
  •  mini m&ms
  •  mini Reese’s peanut butter cups
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tube white icing

First, in a large pot over medium heat, melt butter. Then, turn the heat down to low and add marshmallows. Stir continuously, and once the marshmallows are melting, turn off the stove and add the green food coloring. Place the Rice Krispies in a large bowl, and pour the marshmallow mixture over and stir until all of the Rice Krispies are coated.
