Here’s a fun project you can do this spring, recycling plastic bottles into hanging lantern flower pots. This creative idea is by No1 Garden on Youtube. It’s very simple to make. You can make tons of this in different colors and hang them in your garden. I am pretty sure these will make your yard alive. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

Remove the labels from the plastic bottles. Get one and draw a line around about 1/3 from the top, then just above the feet. Draw a straight line between the two lines around the bottle with 1/2-inch spacing in between each one.
Carefully cut the lines using a blade or a sharp pair of scissors. Once done, remove the drawn lines using a cloth.
Make a hole in the bottom as big as the neck of the bottle.
Fold the top part towards the center. Hold it with your hand, then start twisting the strips forward using your other hand. Once you are done, the top should now face the bottom of the bottle.
Insert the top into the hole on the bottom then close it with the cap. Drill a small hole in the center of the cap. Make another one for a total of two pieces.
Insert a wire into the hole and hold it while you spray paint the whole pot. Repeat with the other piece. Let them dry completely.
Make two holes inside on opposite sides. Get two cords and make a knot on one of the ends of each one. Insert the other ends into the holes. Measure 10.6 inches on each, make a knot, then insert the other piece on top.
