Remove the core of the cabbage and slice it to your preferred thickness. Next, dice the onion and chop the bacon as well.
Place a pan over medium heat and fry the bacon slices until crispy, then remove them using a slotted spoon.
In the same pan, add the chopped onions and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes or until they start to get tender. Next, add the garlic paste and saute for about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the cabbage and mix well.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Add the butter and place the lid on the pan. Let it cook for about 10 minutes on low. Check occasionally to check if the cabbage is already tender.
Taste it again and adjust seasonings if needed. Add the bacon bits to the cabbage and mix well. You can also add sausage to this dish.
