Do you remember eating apple fritters as a kid? I do, with it I am also reminded of all the days when all I do is sleep and play, those were the good times. Waking up to freshly cooked apple fritters made by my mom is a moment I always want to go back to. This recipe by Preppy Kitchen on YouTube helps me relive those days!
Fritters
Glaze
Step 1
Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces, transfer them onto a bowl then add some lemon juice, mix them well then set aside. Pour the vegetable oil onto a large pot and place it on medium-high heat while preparing the batter. In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking powder. Whisk them lightly then set them aside.

Step 2
In a medium bowl, add the eggs, vanilla, and milk. Whisk them until well-combined then pour them onto the dry mixture. Fold and mix them until they are almost combined. Add the cubed apples and mix them until well-coated. Scoop the mixture and place onto the oil, fry then until both sides are golden brown. Transfer the fritters onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess oil. For the glaze, sift the sugar into a bowl, then add lemon juice and water. Whisk until well-combined then add more water until a thin consistency. Dip or drizzle the fritters with the glaze, then serve.
